happy turkey day!

For those of you that don't know. This year is kind of a big deal for Rick and I. First off this is the first thanksgiving that Rick and I were in the same state and the first thanksgiving for us in Portland. We are celebrating by cooking a big meal... and by big I mean a 5lb turkey (there is only two of us and where Rick eats enough for two people.. so I guess 3 of us, 5 lbs is PLENTY)!

Rick got the turkey ready and I picked out the wine and made green bean casserole (let me not lead you into false light, green bean casserole doesn't require cooking, it is mixing and scooping!).

On to more important things, giving thanks!

We are thankful for...
- God. For providing and blessing and loving us no matter what.
- Our families. For supporting us and having faith in us to pick up our lives and move to Portland. We love you.
- Our friends. For making us feel like home whenever we are in Richmond, but more for missing us while we are gone.
- Our country. For being able to live in a place where we can say and do and believe in almost anything we want.
- Football. Enough said.

Love,
your thankful oregonians.

Ps. Stay tuned, there will be beautiful photos of our lovely meal, from start to finish!
